Australia, Queensland floods worst ever

Check out the floods in Austrlia in Queenslands south east especially this video footage of the flash flood through the town of Toowoomba which took people by surprise as it is normally a drought strickened area, it unfortunately took 8 lives so far and 72 are missing. As you will hear the local folk are at times amused by the goings on. They probably wouldn't know the full devastation at the time. But then again Australians have a relaxed way of dealing with disasters at times.

hadn't seen that footage before. It's devastating, the sheer area that covered.. my goodness. not to mention the wall of water.I'm amazed, from the black saturday fires to this- everytime australia goes through a disaster of this scale the community unites together to recover. People just get on with it- pick up and move on, not to mention helping a mate on the way. I love living in a country that even though we've had our share of disasters like this, and even through the devastation, it never breaks the spirit. same thing with black saturday fires a few years back.. makes me proud to be an aussie
