anyone out in santa barbara?
did it rain today?

i heard you are not suppose to surf after a rain because of the red tide, does that rule also apply if there was no major storm?

i just want to get out there

Well 72 hours is what you are supposed to stay out after rain as all the crap from drains and roads go into the water. I usually just stay out 24 hours. However there is a high surf advisory in effect for sunday so unless you fancy taking on rough conditions probably staying out is a good idea
