Anyone know where you can get a wetsuit thats gotta fleecy lining - I get soooooooo cold...?

Hey sally,

I wear a Billa-Bong Oscilator 5-4-3mm Suit and that keeps me warm when i go winter surfing, the water temp is about 9-10 degrees.

A thick rash vest helps aswell.

I suspect he means 9-10 C, not F.. but still 40-42 F is damn cold.

Surf shops are best for suits. Sometimes a 5/3 with a rashvest can make you too hot. Ask the surf shop what they think and rent one or two to try them out.

The best wetsuit is one that fits right and keeps you warm the hole time! No lose fitting crap or big water patches underneth the suit. It may be cold when you put it on at first just because its damp everyone gets that. Then after that is should keep you warm. A fleese inside would be stupid unless it was a drysuit or something. You will get used to the cold water feeling I like it now

make sure you try it on before you buy so do not buy from the internet. When try on a new wetsuit i make sure it fits like a glove but has room for movement so i do a few leg jumps and to test it out look daft but hell who cares :lol:

40f is like arctic to me the water temp hardly ever drops below 55f even in peak winter

but then again im super sensitive to the cold and i will be the only dude out in a full 3/2 in peak summer :wink:

Here speaketh a man who has never used a wetsuit with a fleece lining :roll:

Ive got a ripcurl suit with a fleece lining - brilliant suit, very stretchy, very warm... right up until the seams fall apart :roll:

So, despite being a top-of-the-range winter suit which is brilliantly warm, Im afraid I cant recommend them

O'Neill do a fleece lined suit too.

Ive also got a fleece-lined rashie (Alder, I think) which is lovely and toastie warm

It means the summer suit can stay on for most of the year except deepest darkest winter :shock:

all of my wet suits are cheap and only just keep me warm,my winter wetsuit this year used to be my dads so its slightly baggy, but il just put up with it every time im cold il just think about the days when i surfed with no suit on just bordies and a rashi. as soon as you get good and you dont fall off as much as long as you longboard you dont need the wetsuit thats keeps you realy warm cas you hardely ever go underwater, but i can remember the time when i wore 2 wetsuits cas i got so cold.

right i know people have been not understanding my writing so iv cheked this through and it makes sense.

What you said about not needed the decent/thick wettie if you dont fall in the water much is wrong though (for me, anyway). I get coldest sitting on the board when theres a chilly breeze blowing. Its then that I need the hat/boots/gloves etc :shock:

ok well when its windy thers normaly a drift so you have got to keep on paddeling to stop yourself drifting which keeps me warm unless its onshore or offshore winds, but if tis offshore you wil be so stoked you wont care about the cold and if its onshore it will be so choppy you either wont go in or you wil be catching loads of waves

Man you guys are so lucky to have summer suits!

My summer suit is no hood or gloves, but keep on the boots and the 5/3. Sometimes I have a short sleeve rashi instead of my long sleeve underneath, but thats about it.

"Summer wetsuits", when the swell comes from the Arctic down into the North Sea in the middle of February, thats cold!

Our water temp today was 83, and the air temp was 79 at first surf report time. Later the air temp got up to 89 degrees.

I hate wet suits, I couldn't imagine having to wear one year round.
