spraying my board?

Ok I don't want to sound like a complete dunce but sometimes I just can't help it...

my board was given to me as a present and I stuck a design on. However in the water the design is peeling off, so I want to spray it on but I don't want to damage my board...so is this possible and if so what spray do I use?

I think you can get some sort of pen that does that not sure though. I think it would rub off though.

newbie here, and i have a similar question, i think. i see other people with lots of graphics and stickers on their boards, and i would like to do the same. will a regular sticker stay put on the bottom of my board? or do i have to seek out a more permanent solution?

by the way, thanks to all posters and FAQ section that helped me learn to surf!

if u spray ur board its 90% preperation and 10% skill. if u look on the older pages theres a few pages of spraying boards and theres alot of info on those.

a little general trick about putting (quality) stickers on:

get a suqeege, a squirt bottle, some water, and some dish soap. Put a couple of drops of soap in the bottle with the rest water, shake it up, and spray it on the (clean) surface. then peel the back of the sticker off, set it on the soapy water, and then you can move the sticker around, and efficently work the bubbles out. Then once you get it all the way you want, get your squeege and squeege out all of the water. It might be helpful to get a towel or something and when you squeege the water to the edge, soak it up with the towel.

you can also sand down into the hot coat a bit, put it on, and re- hot coat on top of it.

this is similay to spraying your board, i was wondering cas iv got plain black fins, if i got some white paint and painted the edges or something, would i come straight off?

Sand them good first, and then get some sort of plastic primer first. Unless they are fiberglass, and then you can do some pigmented resin hotcoat, which could be pretty cool.

I'm about to paint some FCS fins, which are white, and really slick, so I'll let you know how it goes.

But main thing is sand them up good, and get a plastic primer, or that plastic spray paint. Really thin coats and don't touch them until the paint is completely set. That's the tough part

well iv sanded them down, but then i painted it then i put some laccer or sumin like that on them, i duno if the paint will come off but i cant scratch it off.

sounds like you've got it covered. If you really want it to stay forever, then go get some resin, and wipe the fins with alcohol, and kick the resin hot and brush it on.

Make sure you use paint that won't eat your fiberglass (or epoxy, if you have an epoxy board).
