Hey Brother,
I lived in cairns last year and its one of the only places in queensland that gets next too no swell because the barrier reef stops it all , only waves u get are when there is a cyclone swell, but apart from that anywhere from the town of 1770 which is just before bundaberg if ur heading up the coast, all they way down too surfers paradise, gold coast, and down to brisbane is all surf beaches my friend, queensland surfers have endless options and most of them are pretty friendly people too, Mate dont stress you wont have a problem finding somewhere to get a few waves. What part of queensland are u heading too?

well thatl be butt crowded if you go anywhere near the superbank..

i surfed at coolum, near noosa...it was nice, not crowded. screw QLD hit up NSW beaches :)

im out of the water atm :( i fractured my toe...sucks balls

think of it this way, if youve heard of the beach, or spot, and your from tasmania...then it is going to be crowded!
