Paddling the english channel

Postby SDCali » Thu Jun 15, 2006 1:20 am

There was an interesting article in my local paper about Laird Hamilton paddling across the English Channel, thought it was pretty cool, most times they talk about people crossing the channel, it's when they swim it.

Yeah, he's pretty crazy.

He rode a bike from London to the coast. Then (on a stand up paddle board no less) paddled across the channel. THEN he rode a bike to Paris!

Well, I could do the first bit... but then I'd barely be able to paddle 21 yards, let alone 21 miles
