Sucked you in . . . This is not about big waves. It's about surfing movies on TV.

"Riding Giants" is running regularly on the US channels. Big waves, new trends in big waves like towing on jet ski.

"Stepping Into Liquid" is another. I think here the "soul" of surfing rather than the media culture. Great clips of technique -- especially walking along a long board. Great clips of women on boards -- good looking and good on the board too. Good music.

A couple more programs lined up for the coming week. I just search "surf" on "The Dish" network. I get "surfaces" -- but some good links to great movies.

"Endless Summer" is one I want to find.

"Walkabout" is another good movie, all about cross-stepping, some real nice footage filmend in Noosa Heads, Australia....real nice loooong peeling waves, and noseriding featured... cool
