Classic surf !!!

Hi.
Last year I went for a weekend up in Woolacombe, north Devon, U.K. The camping wasn't the best, but the surf was going off!!! It was around 6 ft and very clean, producing some lovely tubes! I can't remember that many days when I've been up there and the surf was like that, and it stayed for the whole weekend!

Was that the result of the superb ground swell produced by hurrican alex by anychance?

It could of been, but I'm not sure. I do remember hearing about the hurricane around that time.
