Water Quality

ARRGH

This is addressed to LA county surfers.....

We had a little bit of rain last night and I don't know if its safe to go in the water. Tried to do some research but the last update on the LA County Department of Health was MARCH FREAKING 4th.

Anybody going out today? Anybody have any tips to get more up to date water quality info?

got that same rain down here in san diego. If the break is good, I usually head out anyways. Wear ear plugs and just avoid taking in a bunch of water. I've never gotten sick (knock on wood) but have heard stories...

Thanks, man. I found this phone number online. It is for the the environmental health office LA county. They seemed surprised to have somebody calling, but they were able to give me information that was not on their website.

Haha I just picture a bunch of nerds in lab coats all look at each other, then the phone and have no idea what to do. :shock:

If I had health insurance I might be out there with you guys....

Water was no more dirtier than usual in Los Angeles yesterday (according to the nerds), and damn was that little southy fun!
