ASP Questions?

Postby surfsupgidget » Sun Sep 16, 2012 11:28 pm

This might sound like a dumb question but honestly I have absolutely no idea! What is the difference between the guys on the Men's World Tour vs. Junior World Tour? I know it's not an age limit because some guys on the Junior tour are already in their 20s. So what'sthe difference and how do the guys on the Junior tour get on the Men's World Tour? :?:

Hi surfsupgidget, welcome to Surfing Waves!

From the ASP rulebook - http://www.aspworldtour.com/pdf/asprulebook.pdf
Article 83: Age
83.01 In order for a Surfer to compete in this (Junior) series they must be maximum 19
years old as of December 31st of the prior year to the tour. (i.e. they
cannot turn 21 during the tour year).
83.02 When the WJC is held in January, the junior Surfers of the previous year
will be eligible to compete in that final junior Event only.

No age limit to get on the Men's tour, you just have to be good enough.

Hope that helps.
