I'm new to Daytona Beach ,Fl and I really want to learn how to surf! If anyone is willing to help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!

Welcome Shanmarie7, can't emphasise enough the benefit of a few lessons. They'll be worth every penny. You may meet someone who'll offer to teach you for free, but unless they're an actual surf instructor the quality won't be nearly the same as a few you pay for. You'll learn how not to get in the way/surf etiquette , how to spot hazards, and least important of all "how to surf". Best of luck, post how you get on. Also, we love photos if you've got them.
