What do you guys think of this kind of surfing?

What do you guys think of this kind of surfing? This is a 65 foot Bruce Roberts steel sailboat surfing down some 12-14+ waves near Cape Mendocino.

I watched the entire 1m 21s video. Just didn't see the excitement associated with wave surfing with surf board. Yea, it's a neat ship in largish waves that has additional speed provided by current & waves. But, the thrill isn't apparent in the video.

I think of surfing as being up on a surfboard and riding a wave.

What do you guys think of this kind of surfing?
