Drop in angle and getting back to top

Drop in angle and getting back to top

Postby RichD14 » Fri Oct 30, 2009 5:27 am

I've been experimenting with different drop in angles, trying to figure out exactly how parallel I should be, I seem to be not catching quite enough speed to do a full cutback or pump well enough to keep up in small surf. Anyone have any input??? When I hit the bottom it seems like I can't get back up to the top of the wave

Keep experimenting, it's a life long task.

To drop in just look at where you want to go and paddle there - nice and simple. If you think you are too slow the wave is chillin' and it aint your fault.
Look at the fast pros - mega steep gnarly waves - I bet you don't surf these !

Equipment could be an issue

Safe,
If you're asking what I think you're asking -

When you take off, keep crouched over your board. As soon as you hit the flats start your turn and extend your legs (and throw your arms out in front of you for extra pump). As soon as I worked out I need to be crouched into turns and standing (explosively) out of them, my surfing improved loads.
