Yes I wrote it, my website...

Nope, we're all bald with one arm......and the blokes aren't much better!

I might have a nosy around your site. I was out on my bike for a few hours this morning, didn't take a camera though.

I'm planning on spending the rest of the day watching Atletico Madrid v PSG and then Arsenal v Rangers on the box. There's plenty to do when it's flat!

I haven't had a surf since April, because I'm not hard enough these days to deal with ice bergs and killer penguins on the beach. Looking forward to November, when summer will start to show up, and I can hit the beach again.

But I've done 23 days snowboarding in the last 6 weeks :D Had an epic powder day yesterday, got pissed off at work this afternoon, so popped up the mountain for a couple of hours to clear my head, and managed to score some left over freshies in the sun.

I've been surfing solid for the last two weeks in Bali, Indonesia. Just got back to Perth, Western Australia this morning and there's no decent surf forecasts for the next week.

in a word...YES.

Me and Chasing Daylight drove a 40 mile round trip (more for her) to go to surf the most messy un lined waves ever...seriously..one from 40 degrees left followed by one from 90 degrees right lol.

crazy part is..any time one of us stood up for a few second in this mushy crap we where whooping like we just rode pipeline.

yer lack of surf is really getting to me!!

Hahah. "We could name this spot! I say we call it 'xxxxx'!"

I'm sat here, knowing full well that it's flat for the next few days, but still checking the webcams and reports over and over.

I'm developing a twitch.....who's idea was this surfing lark anyway? This is worse than any drug addiction. Especially since the last -proper- surf i had was THE best sessions anyone has ever had. Except the part about it getting so dark we couldn't see the sets, eh phill? :) mmmmmmm.....

Ive got myself my OWN board this weekend, 7"2 Mini-mal, Waxed up and ready to go
my local surf...FLAT AS A PANCAKE!
Looking at the surf forecast the only good days are next weekend.
Bearing in mind, the reason I brought my board was so i wasn't confined to the weekend when im not working
So my new board sits and waits in its boardbag...

I was out surfing yesterday.

Not great waves, 9 degree water, 5/4+boots+gloves and I was knackered from a bike ride the day before, didnt catch much looked like a total kook.

it was great.. :D

The past three days there was surf with good waves provided by a hurricane, but now, the hurricane has passed, and it's flat... I feel like screaming like a banshee. Anyone have any tips on what to do in the mean time?

Keep surfing the trash that is left behind, do some good repairs on your boards as you await the next good set, find a girl to promise you'll always be there for her and leave her at the first set of swell  But honestly its just like being out in the water when waves are good... still you have to wait for the next good set.. surfings best lesson, as I taught my wife and kids, is patience. In the water waiting for a wave or out of the water waiting for any waves that is decent to paddle for.

We have a tropical storm that should be hitting my area next weekend.... so I'm making sure my hurricane insurance is good and my boards are prepped :)
