...when you can see this from your kitchen window, you have to take a few shots

There were guys towing in, and guys paddling in - I was way more impressed with the paddling

And for those that care...
Nikon D7000, 55-200mm which was about a quarter of the focal length that I needed
I'd've liked to get lower down for some of the shots but drowningbitbybit would have been drowningallinonego so I didn't

Come on Jimi and Jaffa - Im sure you've got some great pics of this swell!

I know why you are getting it and I'm not , the horizon is marching north and it is about 3ft here and a southerly wind just generates a mass wind chop. GGGGGGGGGr but I'll shoot something when it turns right, enjoy your kitchen window.
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun!

I love the fact that you can see the horizon isn't flat in some of the shots

Good shots DBBB! You sure you aren't trying to make a move into surf photos??

I managed to be stuck at uni all day, so missed all chance to take pics. I'll have a look tomorrow morning though if there's a wave :-D

I may even try to go for a surf :surfing: :bigoops:

That's a view I'd like from a widow of my place. Great shots DBBB, thanks for posting.

Solid waves. Got excited and scared just looking at them. Looks proper windy. Was blowing a gale here yesterday and today, wrecking the only swell we've had for about 6 weeks.
