Northern Spain

Northern Spain

Postby FLgirl » Mon Jul 19, 2004 4:04 am

Hey, planning on heading out to Northern Spain in the Winter/Spring months. Where are the best breaks for that time of year and what type of wetsuit should I be planning on bringing. I am a Florida girl and not too much a cold water lover, but hey...gotta do what I gotta do :).

Any advice would be super helpful. Thanks!

Well, you should go to Roca Puta. It in between Zarautz and Zumaya. Its a great place with some BIG waves!!!..
I alway use a 3/2 wetsuit. That should be enough, but remember: I am from The Netherlands and the water there is also cold. Don't bring your shorty!!!... Its to cold for that!.

Well if you do not like cold water I highly recommend you a 4/3 but that may vary. It depends on your location. In the basque country, next to France that is ok, but if you go to Galicia (on the other corner of the country) the water might be colder.

Hope that helps, and if you need more info just send me an email
