surf in taiwan

going to taiwan in late october for about 6 weeks to visit some family. Anyone know what the surf is like there. Can't find that much info online. All I know is some people surf there and it seems like it might get decent if there is a typhoon. Wondering what boards to bring if any. Thanks.
