travel with surfboard???????

I am in south australia, I 'm planning to gold coast for holiday in December. how can I bring my surfing board with me, is it any extra charge for airline ??????

yeah, I saw a chart somewhere that broke it down to who was cheapest, but i forgot where it was... I'll let you know if I find it though, but remember to shop around and pack the board good, with extra re-enforcement around the fins.
