Looking for someone to stay with in Santa Cruz...

Hey guys, I'm going to be out in San Jose, CA visiting my dad this summer from June 14-24 and July 17-August 2, and I'm planning on taking surf lessons. I know this is going out on a limb, but I'm wondering if anyone lives on the beach, and if I could just crash at their place (I'd just need the floor & if possible a guest shower.
