Seattlites Seek Surf Destination

Hi. My husband and I are both beginner surfers. We're looking for a good place to surf for a week in Sept or Oct. Preferrably a location within a few hours flying time (or drive), is kid friendly (we have a new baby) and sunny, predictable weather. We can spend about $100/day for a room. Any suggestions?
