Nicaragua surfing hotels?

I plan to go to Nicaragua in June or October (depending on work).

I don't want to do a surf school or tour, just want some names of hotels on the beach that are good to surf at. Gonna rent a car to get around so anywhere on the coast will do. I'm ok with roughing it too, not looking for resorts but not against some nice ones too.

So, if you have been there and stayed somewhere that had good surf let me know, but please don't send me links you googled because I already spent some hours doing that, looking for actual travel experience that you think is positive.

I have a place at Rancho Santana, there are a lot of options near there and the surrounding area is pretty much the best surf in the country, you have popoyo, santanas, colorados, lances, and many more spots. you can find pretty killer places to stay at http://www.theitraveler.com you can also just message me back for more info.
