New Surfer

Im from Dania Beach FL and Im haveing alot of problems getting my dad to realize that there are great spots in South Florida to surf. He says I have to convince him first that there are waves worth rideing here before even bothering buying a surfbaord. Surfing is something I really have been wanting to do for the longest time ever. Please give me some locations that are always worth the waves. THANX
