Surfing in the Netherlands

Postby Dsurfryder252 » Tue Nov 30, 2010 1:07 am

I will be visiting the netherlands to see my family heritage in the winter and was wondering if anyone out there has surfed there. I figure Id check out Domburg as seeing that seems like the best place. But i will be staying down in Vlissingen for about 3 to 4 days and figured id try to surf down there. After that im heading to Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, then Morrocco. Then back home Is it a pain to travel with surfboards on trains throught out the Nehterlands and Europe. I hear it is. But I know its been done before.

Well it isn't a pain to travel with a surfboard on the train, it is a pain to travel with the trains in the Netherlands because they always are delayed or cancelled due to bad weather or anything else, in the south we have a lot of good surf spots to see all of them visit: http://magicseaweed.com/Holland-Belgium ... recast/80/

Domburg isn't bad, that is the place with the best waves in Zeeland.
