Trying to book a holiday for this autumn/winter for my boyfriend and me.
Hoping to go in October/November, but we want sun (and warmish water ideally) as well as good waves.
He's quite good surfing wise, but as you can tell im a bit clueless and hoping for this to be a surprise.
So...I'm thinking either the canaries somewhere or maybe portugal. Been to on a surf trip to Lanzarote in November and the surf was really small, which was fine for me but would't be any good for him. Also spent a bit of time in Portugal and don't know whether it would be better weather/surf wise to go to Peniche area or algarve...
He's spending the whole some with his leg broken in a cast- NO SURFING- so please pity him and help me cheer him up...
Any ideas are welcome. Budget is modest...around £350 each. we just want sun, surf and some cheap accommodation.
