what's the ideal height of a surfboard?

i'm 18 from vancouver, and i'm 5'5'' i was just wondering what height my surfboard should be? planning to buy a neezy n2 dorado that's around 5'8''...comments please..

Depends on the break that your going to be surfing most often. That 5-8 sounds good to me for you if your going to be sticking with waves 8ft or smaller. Anything bigger than 8ft start moving up by the inches.

Depends on what style you want to ride. Im 6'2", and I will be getting a 8'6" or 9' board, cuzz I like to cruise.
