first board? epoxy o'shea 8'6 mini tanker eps core help

hi all looking for a board done abit of surfing before but not alot and i am stuck on if this is a good board or not any help would be great

been reading up on eps cores and it seems they soak up water should i go for a board wiith a different core or will this not be a problem with an epoxy board cheers tony
