1st board

hey, i have surfed a handful of times, on longboards,funboards,and a 6'5 fish. i could ride them all...but not rip..lol. im looking to buy my first board, im a seasoned skateboarder/snowboarder from canada, and i surf 4 weeks outta the year in mexico. im 23, 5'9 170ibs.

here are my options right now:
- al merrick biscuit 6'2x21x3
- 7s epoxy super fish 6'3x20x2 1/2

i know the 7s has got a bad rep for being made in a factory.. but its $100 less then the merrick, or any other suggestions? i want to get a shortboard, and grow into that. any help will be greatly appreciated!!

get a fish, youll love it, and its much more user friendly than a regular short board. and since you aren't gona ride often, you might as well save money with something that will work no matter what the conditions are. my 2cents

thanks for the reply naniekso, yeah i defintly want something with alot to it. i was thinking that the biscuit was almost like a fish...i thought that the biscuit would be as versatile as the 7S epoxy superfish
