Longboard

I am buying a used long board for 40 bucks. I have never surfed but my friends do it and I would really like to get into it. What should I look for when buying that board?

dude... buy the board... even if its a peice of xxxxx, for 40 bucks if it can surf... its worth it. Most longboards are 600-800 dollars. Buy it, try it, surf it, get a new one.
