"Cold Water Wax" ;)

Most major makes have a section of waxs that are made with different melting points. pop into a good surf store and ask what they reckomend for your waters.

I've been using Mrs Palmers (coldwater) for our winters here in the UK and it does fine. Water temps here get down to 5-6C In the Summer months its up past 17C on average and I can usually get away with "coolwater" and somtimes I need to get Warmwater mainly because of the sun melting the wax.

I use purple (cold water) Sex-Wax as I find this softer wax a bit more grippy on the feet than the usual orange or green wax that most people seem to use in the UK.

A couple of months ago, I was in a shop in braunton (devon, UK) and they wouldnt sell me the purple wax telling me it was 'the wrong one' and I should be using the green wax!!!!!!

I took my business elsewhere... 8)

Depends on the temp of the water.

For there, I'd say you want cold water wax (under 60deg water). I'm guessing the water there is probably in the mid-50's
