Does this epoxy board ding need a repair?

Does this epoxy board ding need a repair?

Postby whalerid3r » Mon Jan 21, 2013 2:18 am

Hi there,

My epoxy surfboard has a few little dings on the tail - do you think that any of these would need a repair? I've heard that any water getting into an epoxy board can wreck it pretty quick. It seems like these dings are just in the outer paint coat though and not the inner epoxy layer?

Here is a photo:

Thanks heaps in advance for your advice!

It would probably be OK but each surf it is going to break down a little more. Even just a dab fix with epoxy solar res or some similar stuff is a better thing to do.
you paid money for the board why not look after it!
I've taken up troll hunting just for fun, instead of a rifle I'll just use a pun!

Thanks for the tip Jaffa, solar res sounds like a good idea.
