What is the best Body Glove Wetsuit?

What is the best Body Glove Wetsuit?

Postby jonathanderick » Thu Dec 18, 2008 4:57 am

Hey y'all. Jonathan, here. I'm getting pretty cold wearing my shortie 2mm down here in Huntington Beach. I have a friend that can get a 50% discount on a Body Glove, so I'm planning on blowing my birthday money (assuming I'm not too old to get birthday money) on a 4/3 fullsuit.

Question is: which wetsuit will give me more bang for my buck? I don't want to be broke to the point that I can't afford wax, but of course, I don't want to get a crap wetsuit. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

All wetsuits are made in the same factory in China and then they put the name on afterwards...........Bodyglove are as good as any other

Dont be fooled by marketing ..........the more a company has to spend on mrketing.................the more their share of the market

The Vapor 4/3 back zip would be my recommendation among the Body Glove 4/3 suits.

I have one and surf with it daily, as well as four other full wetsuits to compare it with.

It's made in Thailand, as are most of the better wetsuits these days.

Is it worth it going for the slant zip? Or is the difference against the back zip miniscule?

My take on slant zips is that it's harder to get in & out of the wetsuit and since you have to stretch the suit around the neck a lot getting in/out, they may be more fragile over time than the back zip. Otherwise not a big difference. I bought the back zip.

I have a 2mm Body Glove springsuit at the moment, and it fits very well, as if it's my birthday suit. I'm going to stick with Body Glove until one of their products pisses me off (e.g. never calls me back).

Vapor all the way back zip or front zip. I prefer the front zip for sealing reasons. I now own a Matuse Hoplite 4/3/2 and am extreamly happy with it.

Not even close to being accurate.
