It's broken!

For the last day or two, the site keeps failing on me. I'll click on a thread, (or sometimes even just trying to come to the main page) I get a blank white screen with the text

"phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database"

i had that happen a couple times earlier today, but it seems to be all good now.

Bear with it - it's got to the stage where I have just got to shrow some more money at the problem.
Things are just getting too busy.

An upgrade has been requested so it is now a matter of the hosts going ahead and doing it. This should sort out the problems you may still be seeing.
I'll post when it's been done.
