Longboards on bigger waves?

Longboards on bigger waves?

Looks like earnie's gonna come up to VA/NC a little, and some are saying waves 6 feetish?

I'm quite good at longboarding in our usuall 1-3 feet, but would you guys recomend going out in that?

it all depends on the rocker of the board and how early you can take off, if you can get in early on the waves before they wall up its alot easyer to make the drop, late drops can be hard if the board your using doesnt have much rocker, youll find the board will just stop as you hit the bottom of the wave thowing you off, one way to get round this is to angle your take off across the wave so the drop isnt so step

i surf some 6' waves on my longboard, and as long as you catch it early befor it goes steep and aslong as your boards good enuf, its amaazing, you just cruize for a little while, then it all jacks up and you shoot down the face, is real fun
