which one works better. epoxy or fiberglass longboards and what are the pros and cons?

Works better? Neither, just different.

Fiberglass are heavier, easier to dent, but flex more.
Epoxy are stiffer and floatier.

Depends what you feel.

Epoxy is a resin, fibreglass is a cloth. The epoxy boards you refer to are made of epoxy and fibreglass .

they are myths,i have hand shaped epoxy short boards and longboards,they have alot of flex,more so than my polyesters,my epoxies are not floaty either,don't know about the surf techs now,but a few years ago i rode a Surftech fish shape and it felt to bouyant,so there you are try handshaped epoxies!

This is true there is an another option that gives a high strength to weight ratio with a feel of a PU board. Yes here it is the sales pitch but it does make sense. Also you can have an original spray job and not be an Epoxy clone. So you can get a hand made high quality custom board using the best materials that will cost less than an off the rack Tuff Lite ! It actually depends on what your prefrence is. I have a 6'8" epoxy tuflite semi-gun and a 9ft polyester longboard. Epoxy is more durable, lighter and more lively on a wave. Polyester gets dinged easier, cracks, and gets pressure dings far easier, but is cheaper. I would like epoxy for shortboards because they tend to undergo more stress (bigger waves, harder turns, harder wipeouts) and polyester for a longboard because an epoxy longboard is just too expensive for the intended use that I put them through (waves that I surf mine in will never go over 2ft, and its just essentially a big cruiser on a boring day). Thats my preference though, and I know that some people take their longboards in 6ft solid, barrelling surf, so different strokes for different folks
