Weight, Height etc

Hey all,

In a few months Im going to buy the Bic 6'7'' shortboard and Im wondering whether it will 'take' my weight and height. Im 9.5 stone and about 5'8''. I think it will be fine but if anyone has the Bic 6'7'' and has other ideas please tell me!

I have a Bic 6'7" shortboard, and while it is tough, floaty, etc, the shape really isn't that great. You may find that you outgrow it in a short while and end up looking for a better board. I gave it to my little sister for her to learn on, but I still surf it when I go home, and the difference between the Bic and my other boards is quite big! I guess thatis it good for learning to popup on shortboards though.

i started surfing on the BiC 6'7 (5 years ago) which i thought was a good board for me because i was quite short and i was able to popup easily and it was really boyuant it helped wen i moved onto a shorterboard.

do you mean to learn on or to progress onto? it will definatly take your weight and height cos your short and weigh next to nothing (no offence). you could easily go much shorter than that if you can already surf.
