new board is damaged

hey i just got a 6ft short of ebay and the very last centimeter is snapped off and its freyed and rough (to the touch), will getting a nose protector sort it or does it need to be repaired? thanks

A nose protector just, er, protects the nose. Sounds a little bit late for that.

You'll need to fix it.

the shape of the board has been damaged that need to be repaired first
after its repaired you can use a nose protector to prevent it happening again.

What your suggesting is like - Snapping your phone in half, then putting it in a protective case.
Ok maybe abit extreme but same story :)

okay its damaged slightly but will the nose protector stop futher damage enough for it not to be repaired?

no the glass is damaged. therefore water will get into the foam and rot your board even through a nose protector. you could have a go at fixing it yourself with solarez but rebuilding a bit of the board without some experience might be tricky and come out a bit rough. easy enough to make water tight, hard to keep it neat looking.

maybe ask some of the shapers or ding repair people on here for advice on fixing it yourself.
