2nd hand longboard repaired

saw a 2nd hand longboard for sale a in a surf shop very cheap. looked like it had been snapped in half and repaired. was with a friend at the time who knows a bit more than i do about boards and repairs etc. who was considering buying it. I thought he'd lost it. surely if a boards been snapped in half its finished? anyone bought or ridden anything similar?

i'm looking for a longboard myself near 10' noserider with a pin tail. anyone got one for sale in ireland? it'd have to be a bargain tho. girlfriend works in a surf shop so i get 30% off new boards. know i'm chancing my but there you go... don't ask don't get.
