Wave Quality Rating 3 Type of Wave Breakwater / groyne Direction of Wave Right & left Bottom Sand Difficulty Beginners Crowd Level Packed Hazards none General Description Reliable beach break by the Jacksonville Pier, 4th Ave. Pretty consistent but usually small or a wind swell. Really needs a hurricane swell to go off.
Gets crowded when the waves are any good. Works best in a north / north east swell.
