Due to its size it is hard to summarise surfing in the United States. It gets swell from the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico and even from the Great Lakes. Water temperature varies dramatically travelling north to south. The further south you travel, the warmer the water will get. The best surf is produced from October to March.
