Nicaragua Surf Spot Map Nicaragua is a beautiful country located in the heart of Central America. Recognised for its coasts and lakes, it have become a top ranked tourist destination. This tropical country offers interesting environments: mountains, forests, volcanoes, valleys and beaches. Nicaragua has two main seasons: Winter (the wet season) runs from May through to November and is at its wettest in September and October. Summer, (the dry season) runs from November to April. This time of year is most pleasant to visit and the best time for surfing, hiking and camping. The Nicaraguan currency is the Cordoba. US Dollars are accepted almost everywhere and credit cards are widely accepted. ATM's are available in larger towns, in banks and gas stations.
