The surfing season is generally better in the winter (October – April), when north swells come and hit Sayulita enabling a point and a beach break right in town. Also the predominant wind directions during winter tend to create offshore wind for the surf spots in the Banderas bay, only 20 minutes drive from Sayulita. In the summer (May – September)the wave conditions are very uncertain and it can get incredible hot, why the surf camp close down for this period.
