A popular, consistent, good quality beach break that breaks over sand and rock. The beach is a black sand volcanic beach. On a big south or southwest swell this break starts to barrel nicely. The wave generally works best in a north east wind. The wave starts working in a small swell but can hold upto 2m+. Tides are not a problem as this wave will work on any tide.
