General Description
A large sandy beach with a large tidal difference - the tide comes in and out quickly here - there is a large river estuary to the east so watch out about increased current and rips if you head that way - it can get very dangerous here: hence the lifeboat station as you walk onto the beach. Generally though if you stay to the left (west) end of the beach its got no problems - in the height of summer it can draw a few surfers and suffers from weavers on warm days/lower tides.
General Info
How to get there

Drive to Cardigan, take the A487 south from the town centre, you'll pass over a bridge, look for a pub on your right called the Eagle (and signposts to St Dogmaels) and follow the next right immediately after it. Drive down here until you see signs to Poppit Sands on your right once you're in St Dogmaels - the street is called Feidr Fawr. Drive for a couple of miles until you see the large carpark on your left.
