Picturesque bay that has both a sandy beach break and a reef. Works on a medium or big swell and is best surfed on a southwesterly offshore wind. It is one of the nearest breaks to Edinburgh so when the surf is good here it can get really busy. It's cold all year round so have a decent 5/3mm wetsuit. Booties, gloves and a hood are required if you want to surf in winter. On bigger days this break is not suitable for beginners.
How to get there Head east out of Edinburgh along the coast (A1) towards Dunbar then Cockburnspath. At the Cockburnspath roundabout, take the Pease Bay road an follow this straight down to the bay. Access & Parking Info / CostThrough the caravan park. Where to Stay At the caravan park. Find out details and prices at http://www.peasebay.co.uk Equipment Hire Surf Schools When its Flat?
