General Description
Bafureira is a point break wave that provides both left and right breaking waves. It starts working at 1 meter plus, and will get well overhead in the right swells.
The best time to surf is at mid tide, at low tide there are exposed rocks. Many view Bafureira as probably the best wave on the Estoril coast.
In 2010, Bafureira hosted the final day of the Estoril Surf Billabong Girls contest, which was won by Australian surfer Sally Fitzgibbons.
