Wave Quality Rating 2 Type of Wave Breakwater / groyne Direction of Wave Left Bottom Sand Difficulty Intermediate surfer Crowd Level Can Get Busy Hazards Pollution General Description Across the river Adour from La Barre is the left hand wave of Boucau that breaks off the jetty.

Works in all swells and better in lower tides. Can be sheltered from winds from the south.

Pollution can be a problem especially after heavy rain when the river washes out.

How to get there The break is right just north of the l'Adour river at the south end of Tarnos beach. Access & Parking Info / Cost Parking is available right next to the break and is free. Where to Stay Stay in Biarritz or Cabreton. When its Flat? Plenty of surf schools in Biarritz (and all up the coast for that matter)
