Wave Quality Rating 3 Type of Wave Beach break Direction of Wave Right & left Bottom Sand Difficulty Unknown Crowd Level Empty Hazards Rocks, Locals, Pollution General Description massive stretch of sandy beach eventually leading to rocky area to right side.Similar waves to saltburn due to position of beach. No changing facilities and former magnasite plant nearby (now under demolition) so used to pump water used for cooling back into sea. Been closed down around 3 or more years. Occasionally get surfers alternating between here and seaton carew.

How to get there head to hartlepool and follow a689 or a179 all the way to headland. Access & Parking Info / Cost ramps lead to beach, cars etc can be parked right alongside the prom and will be in full view at all times. Where to Stay n/a Equipment Hire own equipment only Surf Schools n/a
