No changing facilities and former magnasite plant nearby (now under demolition) so used to pump water used for cooling back into sea. Been closed down around 3 or more years. Occasionally get surfers alternating between here and seaton carew.

How to get there head to hartlepool and follow a689 or a179 all the way to headland. Access & Parking Info / Cost ramps lead to beach, cars etc can be parked right alongside the prom and will be in full view at all times. Where to Stay n/a Equipment Hire own equipment only Surf Schools n/a
