Devon
Region name * This polygon has surfspots
Devon (sometimes referred to as Devonshire) can be found in South West England and is a popular tourism area. The county town is Exeter. Plymouth is the biggest city in Devon. Devon is home to two of the UK's national parks - Dartmoor and Exmoor.
Devon is an area well known by UK surfers. Both the North and South coasts get surf throughout the year although summer can be very inconsistent. The North Coast is more exposed to swell from the Atlantic and as a result sees surf more regularly. There are numerous good quality surf spots in this county and plenty of surf shops, equipment hire options, surf lesson providers and convenient accommodation.
