General information about this area
Surf Spot Map In and Around Newquay Newquay really is the surf capital of the British Isles. It is also a popular spot with holiday makers in general and is absolutely heaving on a bank holiday. Newquay is an ideal place to base yourself for your Cornwall surf trip as it not only has the non surfing attraction if there are no waves but there are numerous surf shops to stock up on your equipment or to get that new board shaped. Newquay plays host to the Boardmasters Festival, a yearly surf and music event well worth a visit if you are in the area. One word of caution - Newquay has the worlds biggest seagulls, don't leave your small children unattended.
