Surfing in Cornwall

As far as surf capitals go - head to Newquay.
The downside is that the beaches are packed here.
Both the north and south coasts catch plenty of swell from the Atlantic and the best swells are found from late Autumn through Spring. It's cold this time of year so make sure you have a decent wetsuit.
There are waves to suit every level of surfing with plenty of mellow beach breaks for the novice (surf schools are abundant). There are also serious waves for the experienced surfer with some big wave spots holding in excess of 20ft on a good swell. Something for everyone!
Avoid the popular breaks for a better surfing experience (these include the breaks in and around Newquay). If you are visiting England then surfing in Cornwall is a must.
You'll need a 5/3mm, boots, gloves and hood.
Bring a board suitable for the waves you want to be surfing.
